Dalian Robert Atkinson already has an heir. His name is Alexander Isak, the ‘new Txipiron’ of the Real. But before continuing, everything must be contextualized. Atkinson an English striker who played for Real Sociedad in the 1990-91 season scoring 12 goals in 30 games, and leaving a very pleasant memory among the Txuri-Urdin fans, for its tremendous quality and its spectacular performances on large stages such as Camp Nou. He came to have an affectionate nickname among the followers of the San Sebastian club, who called him ‘The Txipiron’ because of his skin color. Atkinson was black as a typical Txipiron of the Basque Country, say the followers of the time. The Englishman, who died in strange circumstances in 2016 when he was only 48 years old, took this nickname in San Sebastian with a good mood.He was crowned at the Bernabéu. Since the departure of Atkinson, a Real player has always been waiting for a player who had his personality and was able to win his heart as the English striker did with his electric game, which coincided with another foreign myth in San Sebastian, John Aldridge. A new Txipiron was sought. And they already have it. 29 years later, a player with similar characteristics and with quite a physical resemblance has stolen the heart of the realistic followers to the point of inheriting the nickname of Atkinson and having up to a song that they never tire of chanting in the stands of the fans of the Real. Alexander Isak is the ‘new Txipiron’. If Atkinson was crowned with a memorable and well-remembered performance on a large stage like Camp Nou, Isak did the same in another giant field of our football such as Santiago Bernabéu. The Swedish striker has put all of Gipuzkoa in his pocket with his way of being. He arrived in silence, without making much noise, change of 6.5 million euros to Borussia Dortmund, as a luxury substitute for Willian José. And whenever he left the bench he contributed something, goals or assistance. This was gaining minutes, until the Brazilian’s mess in the winter market opened the doors of ownership. Isak has taken advantage of the occasion by scoring seven goals in the last five games until he reached 13 goals, six in the league and seven in the cup, placing himself as the top scorer of the txuri-urdin team.He only lacked an outstanding performance to take a doctorate, to finish demonstrating that the quality that treasures 190 cm in height. And it came at the time that Real needed it most, in Santiago Bernabéu, with the qualification for the semifinals as a jackpot. The Swede participated in the four goals of Real against Madrid. In the goal of Ødegaard it all started with a shot from him. Then he scored two goals and was able to make a hat-trick but the VAR annulled him a goal for offside. And the fourth gave it to Merino. Huge match that made even his companions sing the song dedicated to him by the stands. Now the clause of 70 million euros that has even seems small. And the 30 that Borussia Dortmund has to replace him before 2021 a dangerous threat. Isak has put everyone in his pocket. It is the ‘new Txipiron’, the nickname that actor Gorka Otxoa has recovered for Real. Said remains. Now learn it by heart.
The Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) has welcomed the commitment of the Coalition government to select a site for Sydney’s second airport. “A secondary airport is many years away so we need to take steps now to ensure we get the most out of the existing infrastructure to support the continuing growth of the visitor economy,” Mr Morrison said. The TTF said the announcement is a step in the right direction for the Australian travel industry. The modernisation of operating restrictions at Sydney Airport is the next issue in the firing line. Last month, the Pilots Association named Badgery’s Creek as the preferred site for Sydney’s secondary airport, while IATA has been pushing the Government to make a decision for months. “On the basis of the Sydney master plan that’s being developed and the other information that’s been put together through a series of government inquiries and examinations now that have been going on for more than a decade, I’d expect a decision within months,” Mr Truss said. Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss revealed that the planning process is well advanced and the Australian Government will identify a preferred site either late this year or early next year. “This issue has been the subject of numerous studies over many years, all of which have reached the same conclusion: that Badgerys Creek is the most appropriate site for a secondary Sydney airport,” TTF chief executive Ken Morrison said.
